Who we are

Trundle is a Windows desktop application for golf simulator users. The application and this website are operated by Timothy Duddy, d/b/a Trundle, a sole proprietorship in the United States, who is responsible for the information described here. You can reach us at support@gettrundle.com.

What stays on your computer

This is most of what Trundle produces, and none of it reaches us. Your rounds, shot history, swing clips, camera footage, body tracking data, scene layouts and application settings are written to a local folder on your PC and stay there. We have no ability to read them, and there is no cloud backup of them today.

Sign-in tokens for Google, and for Twitch if you connect it, are also stored only on your PC. They are encrypted with the Windows Data Protection API scoped to your Windows user, so another user on the same machine cannot read them.

What we collect

Account information

Trundle uses Google Sign-In. When you sign in, we receive and store your Google account identifier, email address, name and the URL of your Google profile picture. We never receive your Google password.

Subscription information

If you subscribe, we store your plan tier, the identifiers Paddle assigns to you as a customer and to your subscription, and the dates your plan started, renews or was scheduled to cancel. We do notreceive or store your card number, billing address or any other payment details — those go directly to Paddle, who process the payment.

AI swing analysis

This applies only if you use the AI swing analysis feature. When you request an analysis, the application sends a small number of still frames from your swing video, plus the numeric shot data for that swing, to our server, which forwards them to Anthropic for processing.

We do not store the images. They pass through our server and are not written to our database. What we do keep is the record of the analysis: your account identifier, the resulting written analysis, which model produced it, how much it consumed, whether it succeeded, and when. We keep the written result so the analysis is still there when you reopen it, and the rest so your monthly allowance can be counted accurately.

Server logs

Our server and hosting providers keep ordinary technical logs of requests, which include IP addresses and error details. These are used to keep the service running and to investigate faults.

Download counts

When the Windows installer is downloaded from this site, we add one to a counter. The counter records the date, which button on the site was used, and the country the request came from — nothing else. It is a running total, not a list of visits: no record is created for you, nothing is stored about your device, and a download by a signed-in customer is indistinguishable from anyone else's. We use it to know whether people are finding the app.

What we do not collect

• No analytics scripts, no advertising, no profiling. This website loads no third-party analytics or advertising code, sets no tracking cookies, and builds no picture of you or your visit. The only thing we measure is the download counter described above, which counts downloads rather than people.
• No shot data, round history, video or camera footage, except the frames described above when you personally request an analysis.
• No payment card details, at any point.
• No personal information at all if you use Trundle without signing in. The free tier works without an account, and the app sends us nothing.

Why we are allowed to hold it

We hold account and subscription information because it is necessary to provide the service you asked for and to meet our obligations under our agreement with you. We hold the analysis records because we have a legitimate interest in metering a paid feature accurately and preventing abuse. Where the law in your country requires consent instead, we rely on the consent you give by choosing to sign in or to run an analysis.

Who else is involved

We use a small number of providers, each doing one job. We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not share it for advertising.

• Google— sign-in. If you additionally connect YouTube, the application uses that connection only to manage your own live stream and read its statistics.
• Paddle— our payment processor and Merchant of Record. Paddle is the seller on your receipt, and collects your payment and billing details directly under their own privacy policy.
• Anthropic— processes swing frames to produce an analysis, only when you request one.
• Twitch— only if you connect a Twitch account, and then only to manage your own stream and read its chat.
• Railway and Vercel— host our server and this website.
• GitHub— hosts the application download and the update feed. Downloading or checking for updates makes your IP address visible to GitHub, as with any download.

Cookies

This website sets one cookie, to keep you signed in after you log in. There are no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies, which is why you are not asked to consent to any.

How long we keep it

Account and subscription records are kept while your account exists. Analysis records are kept while your account exists, so that your past analyses remain available to you. Server logs are kept on our providers' ordinary retention schedules. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account record, your analysis records and your credit balances.

Your rights and choices

• Use it without an account. The free tier requires no sign-in, and nothing is sent to us at all.
• AI analysis is opt-in per use. Nothing is sent to Anthropic unless you request an analysis for a specific swing.
• Disconnect a platform. Twitch and YouTube connections can be removed in the application at any time.
• Access, correction and deletion. Email us at support@gettrundle.com and we will provide a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Self-service deletion is not yet built into the account page, so email is currently the way to do this.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — including under the GDPR in the UK and EU, and under state privacy laws in the United States — such as the right to object to processing, to request portability, or to complain to your data protection authority. We honour these requests regardless of where you live, and we will not treat you differently for making one.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and our providers operate globally, so information you give us is processed in the United States and possibly elsewhere. If you are in the UK or EU, this means your information is transferred outside your country; we rely on our providers' standard contractual clauses for those transfers.

Children

Trundle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Security

Traffic to our server and this website is encrypted in transit. Sign-in tokens on your PC are encrypted at rest by Windows. No system is perfectly secure, but the design deliberately limits the damage: the material most people would care about — their video and their round history — never leaves their own machine.

Legacy licence keys

Older versions of Trundle were unlocked with a licence key rather than an account. If you use that screen, the application sends the key and an identifier derived from your hardware, so that one key cannot be used on unlimited machines. This path is being retired and is not used by current sign-in.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and for significant changes we will tell account holders by email.
